reflection: keep your eye on the prize
This is a post from my old blog that I wrote on October 2009. It’s amazing how God has completely ordered my steps just the way I asked him to do. I pray that it’s inspiration for you to be patient and wait on God, whose timing is PERFECT. Just look at Zechariah 2:13 (NIV):
13 Be still before the LORD, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.”
I am in the middle of His Will and Purpose for my life. There’s no place that I’d rather be.

October 4, 2009:
The last few weeks have been mentally rough. I want to step into purpose, yet the trees keep blocking the forest. It’s almost like walking with my eyes closed – I’m getting lost. They say patience is a virtue, but I’m at the point where I’m tired of being patient. I’m ready to jump!
Reason keeps creeping into my thoughts forcing me to realize that patient preparation is a must if I truly want to be successful. I’m glad I’ve learned that success is measured not by financial gain, but by personal fulfillment. I’m successful if I revert to my former way of thinking, but as I live in the present I’m lacking…severely.
Even so, I keep my eye on the prize. I wake each morning praising God for another day to live in His perfect plan. I admit, it’s hard to see past my today sometimes, but I’ll get there…I’m getting there. I just have to take it one day at a time and appreciate the fact that I’m still here: living, breathing, and allowing my steps to be ordered.
